I have three cats:

Billy - who eats Whiskers, oh so fishy pouches and James well beloved biscuits
Sparkle - who will eat anything you put in front of her
Basil (who some of you know has Felv and has been very ill lately) - will only eat fresh meat

My question:
Does anyone feed a diet of fresh meat to their cat and how do you ensure a balanced diet?

Cheers
Seffie

thanks, will go have a look now :good:

that is a really interesting site - have emailed them

My cat gets roo meat in the morning, fish at night and dry food of course.

My mum feeds her cats raw meat totally (as well as dry). The vet told her this was bad to have as the only meaty type of thing in their diet, but I cant remember why. I will ask her.

My best friend feeds hers meat only as well.

You can add garlic, rice, frozen vegie if you want and store it in the fridge. I used to make this for the dogs and give my cat it as well. He loved it.

I do not recommend a raw food diet as it is really tough to balance the calcium phosphorus ratio. In addition it puts your cat and your family at risk for diseases such as salmonella.

My cats have the odd bashed chicken wing and do really well on it. They also have tinned complete food - I won't feed them dry as it's caused several urethral blockages in Errol. :good:

lol my two brothers are 15 now, and both have the strangest of tastes in food. KAT the short haired one, loves chocolate, tomato and any form of meat. KIT his long haired brother, loves sweet and savoury biscuit's. both do cartwheels, when i turn up with liver. though it must be said their staple is whiskers.

their raw food the find themselves, with the exception of the liver.
