i have never tried cucumber, but my lettice went funny in about a day! i am happy with pea's tho, my plec loves them! had him about 3 days, lettice for 1st day, didnt touch that, pellets second day, didnt touch that, some pea's 3rd day just left on ground, didnt touch that, but this mornign i put a pea in my fingers slowly moved towards him and he started to eat the pea, and now is not scared of me so i put my hand in the tank and he comes straight over to me and sucks my hands hope this helps?

No more than one day. It begins to turn soft and falls apart in your water after too long.
