I have a tank containing a mated pair of Pink Convicts, thier fry, and a Blood Parrot.

Right now my pair of Convicts have free swimming fry and I have no clue what to feed them, I don't have any brine shrimp, or access to any fry food for the next couple days. I do have some powdered Betta Starter Fry food I bought in a kit offline for breeding bettas, would this be suitable to feed them? I've tried feeding them crushed flake food, but it floats, and the fry have no interest in feeding off the surface. I've heard some people recommend "Egg Emulsion" but I haven't been able to find any recipes. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Soak the crushed flakes in water then dump them in the tank near the swarm. Egg emulsion is easy, hard boil an egg, remove the yolk and crumble a little piece between your fingers under water, creating fine particles. This works best if the yolk has been in the fridge to chill.

Thank you so much for the input :) what would you recommend of the two? Soaked crushed flakes, or Egg Emulsion? I think I'm going to give them both a try and see what the fry take to best. I recently lost quite a few to an unknown cause, so I'll see what happens

Sorry, not been on in a bit. Flake is much less messy and also a more well rounded source of nutrition.
