Someone recomended feeding shelled peas to fish that are a little off, are these normal garden peas? as i put some in today and they dont seem bothered with them at all, should i mash them up or put them in whole?

Thanks

Paul

For small fish I would imagine you would need to crush it up, but keep in mind this can get messy. I find thawed frozen pea's work best and don't have a fish that won't eat them. They are an excellent supplement for any herbivore or omnivore.

For smaller fish, defrost the pea (couple of minutes is a cup of hot water) then remove the outer shell of the pea (so you are left with two halves) the crush it and drop it into the water. My fish love it.

I feed my platys frozen peas. Defrost them by boiling them a little, shell them, crush them, drop it in and watch the feeding frenzy. My platys go wild over it. They chew bits out of it, and fight over it and have a great time.

cool glad that i'm feeding them the correct things then

And they do love it too :)

Thanks for the advice

Paul
