Feeding Of Fish

i keep getting told lots of different things about feeding, i have 2 black moors and 2 fancy tails which are all very little in size.
the food i give them is the flakes but are wondering how much and how often?
i've been told twice a day, once a day and even once every other day.
please can someone confirm how much, how often and what the best type of food is?

less is always best. never overfeed as it fouls the water and can harm them. Just watch them and give one or two flakes per fish once a day is fine. I often dont feed mine on a Sunday just to rest their tums.

If they are under 2 inches then they need high protein food at least twice a day. Im not saying give them lots to eat but small bits of food at regular times as they are still babies. As they get older then cut back to twice a day and then once a day is enough with a day off.
Always vary the diet as well with bloodworm, daphnia and pieces of orange, peas, cucumber and other greens that you can boil for a few seconds.

thanks for that, they are all about 2-3 inches long and i've been feeding them once aday with the flakes.
when you say vary with the above foods does that mean i give the flakes and greens?
