Hi, Im going away for a week and need some advice on feeding my fish, I have....

2 x African Butterfly Fish (Normally eats Mealworms)
1 x Featherfin Catfish (Catfish Pellets)
1 x Asian Bumblebee Catfish (Catfish Pellets)
4 x Upside Down Catfish (Catfish Pellets)
4 x Glass Catfish (Frozen food)
2 x Blue Ram (Frozen food)
1 x Hillstream Loach (Algae)
1 x Bristlenose Plec (Catfish Pellets)
1 x Orange Spotted Plec (Catfish Pellets)
1 x Senegalese Bichir (Everything, but mainly Prawns!!!)
1 x Red Tailed Black Shark (Frozen food)
1 x Dwarf Puffer Fish (Frozen food)
1 x Elephant Nose Fish (Frozen food)

Can anyone suggest a feeding routine, bearing in mind:

- The person i have coming in doesnt like "the messy side" of feeding fish.
- The various dietry requiements

Also, can anyone else give me some tips etc to help my first week away from my little buddies..!!!

Wow, that's a busy tank.....how big is it?

Most healthy adult fish can easily go for a week without eating, fish in the wild live on the edge of starvation. I wouldn't worry at all about one week, save yourself & your friend the trouble.

i agree with tolak
maybe get the person to come once in the middle of the week and chuck in some bloodworm

500 Ltr

 Oh, you were nearly in sooooo much trouble!

Tolak said it all really.

As most of your stock are bottom feeders then you could drop in a few 'Holiday sticks' I tried them once but can't remember who made them (Tetra I think) They were sort of hard, deep red tubes about an inch long. They sank and I suppose they disolve very slowly. The water was crystal and all levels, including ph, were still spot on when I returned. All the fish were dead but.......( JOKING!) no they were all fine and healthy :good:

You can buy auto feeders, or Gell food, that you stick to the side of the glass, and it gradually breaks down releasing the food into the tank.
