Feeding My New Gold Nugget Pleco

Tomorrow I am getting a Gold Nugget Pleco and I was wondering how I can make sure he is getting enough food. I have Rainbow Fish and a Blood Parrot that love to be food hogs. Does anyone have any suggestions on how I can make sure he is getting enough food? Thanks!

I'm interested to see this answer because my BP are hogs too and they even try to eat the disk I put in. I try zuchinni but even if i only leave it in for a few hours it gets my water cloudy and brings the ph down on the tank.

i give mine prawn bloodworm pleco wafers etc he will also "graze" on objects in the tank eatin organic matter.

they are pretty meaty pleco's meaning a variation in meat to feed them i feed my tank prawns twice a week from my uncles fish mongers (free shrimp)

Do you think it will do alright with my Kulie loaches since they are said to be territorial to other bottom dwellers?

too much protein can be harmful to most plecs, a varied diet should be offered, with more veg than meat.
if you're worried about them getting to the food, put it in after the lights are off, the plecos will eat more in the dark
