Feeding My Catfish/sucker

Hi, i have a catfish sucker fish in my tank and i have some catfish/pleco pellets from my lfs to feed it, but whenever i put them in, my mollys and guppies go mad for them and the catfish gets nothing!! i have seen and read that you can put like cucumber etc in for it to feed on. just wondered is this correct? and will the other fish not be interested in this?

Put the pellets in at night when you go to bed. A lot of Catfish are nocturnal and will feed at night when the other fish are 'asleep'.

Cucumber is fine, along with string beens or spinach, the cucumber floats so you need to weigh it down, a chip clip works well.

It would be good if we knew just what kind of fish you have. If you post a picture some of the members can probably help you identify it. Some species eat a different diet than others.
