I'm getting in some kuhlis and would appreciate some help in feeding them. Just how much food would 5 to 6 loaches require? It's been years since I've kept them and it was in a community tank at the time. These will have their own 10 gallon tank for a few months.

I've got on hand....
frozen brine shrimp
frozen blood worms
shrimp pellets for catfish
freeze dried tubefex
betta pellets
wafers

Thanks

those goodies sound lovely. You might have to chop it up a bit though because Kuhlis only have teensy tiny mouths and someting like a whole bloodworm will be too much to handle. Well for my three anyway....
So just chop a small amount (say 3 bloodworms) into bits and see how / if they like them. Some fish can be picky. Then do the same with the other food stuffs.

They really aren't masstive eaters and thus producing very little waste. So don't overfeed if you have no other fish to hoover up.

Ps: mine will sometimes also suck on some algae wafer if it's floating past or I have some omnivore wafers as well (that contains bloodworm etc.) and they sometimes have a little nibble of that too.

I rarely see mine actually feeding but I know they do, especially my fat female. Algae wafers, flakes, sinking pellets, frozen bloodworms they all go for.

I just ordered some algae wafers as I think I need them for the snails. They've about cleaned out the tank.

Thanks for all the ideas. I have some of those bio blend tablets too which I think they might eat. Now to figure out how much on six little guys.

Boy, I sure hope they are healthy. He says they are.

Here's the set up... I think I could use a couple plants in the back. Gravel plus a sand play area. I imagine that will get shifted.
