Got some of these yesterday to feed my Corys, rather than relying on them waiting for soggy flake food to sink to the bottom.

Problem, they are too large to fit in the Corys mouths. They suck on them a lot, trying to get them though. Are they actually able to get anything from this? Like nibbling bits off? Or are they just completely failing to get any?

Can't really tell if the pellets are getting eaten or not by looking at them, but there seems to be some powder/dust drifting round. Maybe that's just them dissovling?

Will I need to make the pellets smaller? I can always cut the pellets in half. I'd rather not, but I can. Or is there a better brand with smaller pellets?

Cheers.

EDIT: I think I just saw some food coming out my Bronze's gills, even though he can't fit the pellet in his gob.

Advice much apprecieted :thanks:

Cories are designed to feed on the food particle that they can take as the pellet softens and expands. The food particles that float around will settle on the substrate and the cory's should be able to track em down using their barbels.

EDIT: Misinterpreted what you said, Oops.

I have to feed mine extra pellets because my baby apple snails take a fair bit of the pellets to themselves. So theres a cory vs apple snail thing at dinner time hehe
