Hi All
am trying to have a go at breeding corys,as the ones I have layed their eggs on the front glass of a tank full of guppys, and as soon as the female planted the eggs guppys were there trying to eat them.so I lost the lot.
have now set up another tank in the garage with my other tanks,(can't have any fish in the house again as they will take over, like they did years ago.lol) the corys spawned again a few days later, so Isectioned off the corner of the tank with a piece of glass and kept it there with a stone, had 51eggs that were stuck to the glass, watching them daily, every couple of hours over the bank hols, I noticed that not all the eggs were fertile could see life moving about in a few of them, lots were getting the dreaded fungus,so went to local fish shop and got some M/Blue this was the fourth day now, and was lucky to see one of the eggs hatch, was like a tiny tadpole.tried to start diluting the water, but after the second day say nothing of the fry
when they hatch.are they then able to feed straight away,or are they like a lot of egglayers and live on the eggsack first. thanks for reading
