I was just reading the odd thread in the 'Emergency' section and I saw where someone said something about the fish might have swallowed some frozen food and it had effected it.

I never knew that, I read somewhere that fish seem to like gulping on the frozen food, so in future I will let it thaw in a bit of the tank water before I give it to them.

Edited for spelling mistake.

I'm going to do that in future, I was just dropping the frozen cube in and the fish darted at it then it broke up when the warm water got to it, I must read the packet see if it says let it defrost, or does it I don't know?

i usually get a shot glass and fill with the warm tank water. I then place my bloodworm cube into the shot glass and sit it on top of the tank for about 30 seconds to a minute giving it a swirl in the glass to break it up a little. I then pour it into the tank, its spreads quite nicely and all the fish get a piece. In the past when i first started feeding them bloodworm, i thawed it out and then tipped it in without swirling and breaking it up first, this resulted in one lump of worm falling to the bottom of the tank and my pleco coming along and gulping the lot!

I usually get a shot glass and fill it with vodka. This always stops me getting confused and drinking tank water with bloodworms in it.
