Hi,

I am currently feeding my fish twice a day giving them a mixture of pellets, flake and frozen and the corals rotifiers, Gamma nitro plus and phyto three times a week. I also add live zoo mix once a week.

I have noticed that recently that the fish seem to be searching for food most of the time and the crabs and shrimp seem more acive as well.

I initially thought that there might be less algae etc for them to eat and increased the food a little but they still seem to be searching.

I was wondering how many times a day other people feed their fish? I dont want to overdo it obviously but wondered if I should increase it to three times a day, maybe a little but more often approach.

Any advice would be welcome.

Thanks.

i feed my reef tank once a day, with a mixture of mysis, brine shrimp and coral liquid food.
my fish only tank i feed 3 times a day. it has a triggerfish, a lionfish, a large black and white clown, a midnight angelfish and a pyjama cardinal.

if they are still searching for food, then i would maybe try once to see if they carry on eating more from you, if not theres always plenty of food and bits for them to eat in the rock and sand bed.

aso, depending on what filtration you use and water changes you need to be careful not to make the water too "messy"

i feed 4 times a day but that's only for healthier clown eggs.
nonphotosynthetic coral get fed everyday, the others twice a week.
