Just have a few questions concerning my corydoras. I currently have 3 albino and 3 skunk. I normally drop 4 shrimp pellets in the tank in the morning and 4 more at night. Is this enough food or too much? Also I want to feed them a variety, so what are some other things I can feed them? I have frozen bloodworms, but don't know how often I should feed them. I could feed them everyday but is that good for them? What else should I put in their feeding cycle? Also would one cube of bloodworms be too much for the 6 of them? Will bloodworms mess up the water if they are left in there? Thanks for all the help.

One cube will be fine. I think six hungry cories would make short work of one cube of thawed frozen bloodworm. My cories love it!

Other than that, I think the amont of pellets you're feeding sounds fine. Just keep an eye on them to make sure they look full bodies and not skinny.
Our cories also eat any other foods that end up in the substrate, such as algae wafters, plec tablets, flake & zuchinni.
They also like brussels sprouts & shelled peas too.

As long as you remove any uneaten food after a short while, your water will be fine.

Well I don't have any other food in there right now as the corydoras are all I have until the tank cycles. Will probably put another group in a few weeks, but am just leaving these until then. They do seem to be very happy and active. I see them looking for food all the time in the gravel and on the decorations. Guess that is just what they do. How often can I feed them bloodworms. If I feed them an entire cube should I feed them anything else that day or should that be enough as it will be a lot of food for 6 smaller fish. Normally within say 30 minutes the shrimp pellets are all the way gone. Takes them a few minutes to find them, then they stir them up as the pellets are messy. Give the filter about 30 minutes and it has sucked anything up that was floating. Is that good or should I get stuff out faster than that? Thanks for the help so far.

I wouldn't mind feeding bloodworms everyday, but is that good for that to be their staple diet? Also should I be feeding them everyday or should I do it every other day or just have an off day some random time during the week? Also can't decide whether to get guppies or gouramis to go with them. Which would work best? And last but not least. I plan to have 12 all together. Would it be best to keep only 2 species with 6 of each, or can I have 3 each of 4 species? I would like to do the 4 species to keep it with a varied look. Thanks for all the help so far.

hiya

I feed my six baby (2cm) pandas cories sinking wafers made by hikari. they get 3 - 4 a day, but three time a week they get frozen blackworms or bloodworms or live food. They wouldnt take this at first for some reason but now have decided they quite like it. :D

Currently I'm feeding them little and often throughtout the day cos tehy are so young. I wouldn't suggest feeding jsut bloodworm because I don't think it would provide them with everything they need (but I'm not sure about this!) a good quality sinking pellet/wafer food would be good for tehir staple diet.
