Hi I have managed to have about 10 eggs from my albino cory hatch.

What food is best. I currenly have crushed flake and micro pellets?

thanks

The best type of food is infusoria, tiny little things that are usually found on plants. If you put plantys in with the egs/fry they should be able to get a little bit out of them.

Another is hikari first bites, a sort of powder that the fry can eat. Make sure to put it right in the water instead of just sprinkling it on top, it won't sink!

And another is newly hatched brine shrimp, but only really start feeding this after a couple of weeks.

mine seem to be doing well on the wardley brand sinking pellets. they break down into tiny bits quickly. i've only had the babies a week though....

you can feed them brine shrimp eggs too, decapsulated. works really well, but do need a little bit of a soak before putting into the water.

You can also squeeze some of the mulm from your filter into the water. It will settle down to the bottom and provide microscopic sized critters for their first meals. Then, microworms and/or Hikari First Bites work well. I do not recommend using a product like LiquiFry because it tends to pollute the water rapidly.

Whatever food you choose after the filter mulm, be sure to do good daily water changes and stir the sand on the bottom. Tiny cory fry are especially prone to getting sick from bacterial growth on uneaten food on the bottom.
