I've seen mention of a feeding cone for bettas on these forums. Can anyone tell me what that is? Where can I get one? What does it do/what is its purpose? Thanks!

i got mine from the lfs, i put blood worm in it. it is a little cone abit like a shuttlecock badminton thing, that you hang in to the tank and the live blood worm will wiggle out and the betta's grab them :grr:  This is not my pic it belongs to ravekiss. Sorry to pinch your pic ravekiss my camera on the blink

This is what it looks like (with worms inside). You can get it from any lfs.

hi ravekiss can i ask what you are feeding them in yours.
Its live tubiflex worms I got from my lfs. They love it, even Starbrite and he's picky about his food.

I think they should work because the fish pulls them out viciously, they should squeeze thru. Check it out though.

That looks...disgusting. *grin* Would it work for brine shrimp? I dun think I have a lfs that sells live blood worms or tubifex.

You never know - you should ask :p they sometimes keep them in back rooms...

if your using live tubifix make sure you treat if before feeding its the worst live food for diease....sorry but i wont use it better off with frozen unless you 100% sure its source you can treat it with myaxine and wash well before use have also heard about washing it in milk but not sure on that one....... :D

I've never tried Brine Shrimp in there, but I dont think it'll work well because they will escape thru the holes maybe faster than the fish can eat them and settle at the bottom of the tank.

What IS the best way to feed brine shrimp? I got some once, and just put them in. There were a lot of them. I know they didn't all get eaten right away, but they were gone the next day. I don't think ALL of them could have been eaten by my fish, or they would have popped. What happened to them? Is there a more efficient way to feed them?
