ok, well i was wondering if i do need to scoop them up in a cofee filter and the rinse them or can i just scoop them up and feed directly?

o yea how much do you think i should feed 3day old N.Rachovii?

I filter new born shrimp through a double stocking, and then dissolve them in a little bit of water. Then I use a syringe to suck them up. In this way I know exactly how much I am giving them. If each fish gets to eat 3 that should be enough. I always put a bit more in, to make sure they catch them. My apple snail gets rid of the ones that do not get eaten and die.

Good luck

N. rachovi are a beautiful fish and their fry are very small therefore you need to provide small foods for them. Start them off with infusoria/paramecium

and then after 3-4 days move on to fresh newly hatched brineshrimp and I mean fresh newly hatched. As day old or 2 day old shrimp grow vastly in size and loss of nutritional value. (try de-capsulating your own eggs at some stage in the future....causes less mess with the annoying shells)
The way I feed BBS is quite simple and I use the following apparatus

1x Jam-jar
1x cotton hankerchief
1x meat/turkey baster
1x eye dropper or syringe with airline attached

Drape the hankerchief over the jam-jar and extract some shrimp from their hatchery using the eyedropper and expell a small amount onto the hankerchief. take your meat baster and fill it with fresh water and flush the brineshrimp on the hankerchief to get rid of excess brine. Do this 3 or 4 times. Now take the hankerchief and wiggle it in the fry tank.
Feed the fry little and often 3-4 times daily. Always remembering to remove dead and uneaten shrimp shortly after feeding, again you can use the eyedropper for this. Top up you fry tanks with tank water daily using the meatbaster. Basically keep the fry tanks/tubs clinically clean and perform small waterchanges daily or bi-daily.
Hope this helps
