I just bought a small portion of live blackworms for my bettas. I fed them so far on one occasion. They seem to love it. Is there anything I need to know about feeding them live blackworms? Any special instructions? I appreciate any advice.

I recently asked a betta expert (BettaTalk) about feeding Blackworms, and she said to never do it because they can cause dropsy, and other problems. -_- I dunno.. I've heard both positive and negative things about it.

Clean the blackworm everyday with aged water. Feed the betta with other foods too and I mean mixed. Feed the blackworm to your betta accordingly and don't over fed the betta unless you are conditioning her to breed. :D

I have been feeding blackworms as part of a very mixed and varied diet for about 5 months now, and never had a single case of dropsy. Get them from a reputable place, and wash them in cold dechlored water, and you should be fine.

i used to feed my betta blackworms, hes still alive now.
