Hi

I used to have a pair of angels (wildtype female, zebra lace male) that I always removed the fry when they spawned because they ate the eggs.

I now have a young pair of wildtypes that have spawned for the second time. The first time they ate them. The second time they are taking good care of them. If I leave them in the tank when they hatch and the parents do not eat them, how do I ever get enough food (I usually feed newly hatched artemia) in? It is a 120l tank not set up for breeding (densly planted and powerful filter) because I judged the pair to be too young.

Thank you

Turn down the filter flow, and put a sponge pre-filter over the intake. A friend of mine has hatched angels in a 20 gallon with good results. Your tank isn't much bigger, parent raising in 29 gallon tanks is common.
