Feeding Amounts

So I have a tank with 10 Glass Bloodfin Tetra in (See through fish are the new colourful fish!)

But being new to all this, I have no idea how much to feed them. The directions on the side of the feeding box are rubbish...'a few flakes per fish. Doesnt take into account size of fish, and the flakes are all random sized, some are fingernail size and others are tiny

I think I am putting too much in, currently doing a couple of finger pinches of food three times a day.

A small pinch once a day is plenty for only 10 fish. Try feeding that pinch and if any is left after 4 or 5 minutes, you are still feeding too much. Cut it back until it is all gone that quickly.
