Feeding A Golden Nugget

I know he has a nosh on the algae attached to the wood in the tank, but I've tried him with various Plec foods, tablets and wafers and he's not interested. The rest of the tank gets flake and I assume he has some of that too. But I was wondering what sort of things I can put in for him to chomp on?

people say that their plecos love cucumber and even more so, zuchini. you have to put a spoon through it to make it sink, but in my own experience with all of the plecos i have had no species that i have ever kept was interested, even my 9 inch common.

I feed my GN cucumber,broccoli,courgette, sweet potato,tomato, and melon.
I mix it up and give something different each night at lights out along with an algae wafer.
Put it in the same place each time you feed so they know where to look.
It may take a few days to realise its food and it may well prefer a certain type.
My GN's favourite is courgette with skin on but my BN loves courgette with skin off.
Use a veg clip, screwcumber or spoon.
