Feeder Yabbies?

my mum recently bought 2 feeder yabbies to put in our tank.....
has anyone had these before [other than using them for feeding]??
do they grow very big??

any info would be good....

Feeder fish are often not well looked after, and can be desease carriers. Did you quarantine them before adding to your tank? You'll probably be fine, its just worth baring in mind.
