Feather Duster

ok i got a feather duster today... at the lfs it was just led down on the bottom of the tank on its side... is it ok to make it stand up by burying the tube part of it under the sand ?

yea thats fine, the tube can be placed in the sand or even rockwork, w/e u prefer.
just remember these are filter feeders so havin the right food is the main thing

thanks mate il reposition him tommorow. got some food for it a liquid based one wich i feed with a syringe. i might get a few more dusters there kinda like coral looking so great addition to FOWLR tanks

i wouldnt add too many, otherwise you would need to feed more, and if you feed more the water quality goes down.

Be careful what fish you mix with feather dusters

Lots of fish think of them as snacks

thanks for the advice, i got it stood up now. only have a yellow tail damsel and clown fish oh and a starfish but none of them bother it so far, the damsel is scared of it and the starfish but bullies the clownfish. think il end up getting rid of the damsel and get slower more peacefull fish and a few corals
