Favorite Pleco

Just a thought after posting about who likes and dislikes teh gold nugget. I was wondering what is everybodys favorite pleco and why? I know mine would have to be the Scarlet pleco, L-25, so what do my fellow TFF member's like.

My Albino Bristley - his name is bogbrush (because he's white and cleans up - obviously wasn't named by me!) he's full of character and he's always chomping away at the front of the tank!!!

Bristlenose plec without a doubt. Why? Well apart from the odd appearence, I find them rather weird. I had the unfortunate pleasure of accidently disturbing my male bristlenose under his rock when I cleaned the tank.

To my astonishment I found his skin rough and almost like velcro the way it seemed to grip my skin and of course that when I found that they have a bush of spikes with either side of their head that they can flare out. When fully flared I think it looks like a well defended fish lol

A rather unique fish in my mind.

Just had a wee look at the Titanic plec russell - looks awsum!!

I have recently only started to feel the love for the plecs!! I have my favourites. I like the look of the Zebras,L190's the Big White Spot Pleco L142 and the Flame plec (not sure of L number ) but my favourite are my two starlights bought from Russell!!

Yep I have one of those and an L25 ....I'd be hard pressed to choose between Pseudacanthicus, Scobinancistrus and Panaques...I love'em all...

My L273 is the hardest of all of my plecs to photograph. I finally managed to get a full shot of it last night just as a damn barb swam infront of it!....I'm gonna try again tonight lol.

soon ill have to move in my tank to get some pics of me new next door neibours they love russels caves so much they stay in there 24/7 and breed like wild fire so i may have to get russel to make one for me and jump in the tank to join them



by the way bn look mint aswell as L134

The best looking plec in my book is the L134

also love the colourings on my Peppermint Plec to.

Very hard to pick a favourite.

I am newish to the world of plecs, used to think they looked really ugly when I saw pictures in books but they have grown on me more and more and loricarids are probably about my favourite fish now.

Of the ones I own, I would have to say I like my Chocolate Zebra Plec (L270) best when I can see him/her - so small and cute, photo in avatar. I also really like my Rusty (L310), he/she is always out and about.

I am getting hold of an Imperial Ranger Plec from Russell later this month and the photos look stunning.

Of the others, where do you start? I probably have a wishlist of plecs longer than my son's Christmas list.

I do like the look of LDA33s and Golden Nuggets. I think I am probably about fully stocked on plecs for now.

Can't really go for anything much bigger as I prefer planted set-ups and bigger plecs tend to uproot. I saw a L25 in my LFS recently. Looked like a giant and cost 100, not bad for a L25 from what I hear.

I'm a huge fan the L333, L46, L242, L262, Mango, White Seam...

Oh, heck....I haven't found a pleco that I don't like.

Honestly, I'm a huge catfish/Pleco/Cory fan. I love them all.

Although the scarlet, L-25m is my favorite all the pseudocanthicus look great. Its neat to here from everybody on their favorite pleco, its cool how theres so much variety in the fish and their keepers.

A monster Royal, be it L190, L27 variant or a Shampupa.
