Hi all,
I have a 2 tanks a 10g and a 29g, possibly a 55-65g in the near future.
In my 10g I have goldfish but in the spring (to cold)there all going to a my out door pond if my older sister doesnt want one for her tank (recently lost 1 to old age). THen im wanting a shoal of cory maybe 1-2 top dweeler for that tank but I already have albinos and peppers..WHich i love but I looking for something diffrent. What would you recomend... or better yet whats your favorite type of cory???

My fav cory is the C.Trilineatus,(leopard cory) - love these little corys so active and they gave me offspring :)

Also got skunks another fab little cory,:)

I would up your corys, maybe add bronze which is the same family has the albino and will breed. :)

i have to agree, my first choice is my leopards:

My favourite type of cory? Oh jeez can I say all of them?
I've got albino (bronze), sterbai (4 reg 1 albino), paleatus (peppereds - these have been the easiest for spawning for me), trilineatus (leopard/false julii), panda, arcuatus (skunk), delphax, red stripe and hastatus.

Personaly one of my favorite are Sterbai, but thats only due to the fact I can't get hold of any other real unusual ones.

My other fav is the Bronze Golden shoulders, only cause mine breed like rabbits :)

This is a very hard question. Of the various species of corys I've had, I think I still like my black C. schultzei the best.

Here's some more of them with my C.weizmanis which I've grown very fond of too.

And of course, there are the C.pandas. These are the only ones I've like so well that I keep a single species 55 gallon tank for them. :)

your albino and peppered cories need different temperatures! your peppered corys need a much colder temp something like 20°C or else you'll be crippling their lifespan. Albino (albino bronze corys) are ok at higher temps like 26°C :)

Thanks guys this was very helppful i think i might look at some skunks or sterbai. need to read up on them first...Ill move the pepperds to a diff tank asap then. i have a chance to get a 15g from my cousin maybe ill make that a cooler cory tank around 21c

what cories are good at around 26c and what ons are good at around 21c??

I like the paleatus, but those are the only ones I have ever had, so I am probably biased. :)
I had a chance to get a Trilineatus, for the price of a paleatus, but I like to keep one type at a time.

Some one is selling my a panda cory, Skunk cory, and Juhli cory for $15 as well as a clown pleco. black neon and a really friendly cherry barbs FREE!! so excited. im selling some of my comets if not all so i can put those corys in my ten gallon. I love corys i asked for a 60+g tank for just corys and neons maybe something else butjust them right now. going to get one with a big foot print so i can have a few diff sppecies but lots of each
