I had a black molly die within 4 hours, I fed the fish at noon came home from work at 430 she was dead?! this fish has been through alot as she was the sole survivor of the mollies i had when I stocked to early she survived the ammonia poisining, nitrite poisining while the tank was still cycling. I got one male molly so she wouldnt be lonesome :* and he is fine. DO you think it is just the toll of living in a tank that wasnt cycled ( she survived me emptying all the water and starting new, I didnt know much at the time, obviously!!) or something else? My water tests are perfect 0,0,1. Tank is overstocked I think it is 30 gallons I have 2 golden gouramis, 2 kribensis chichlids, 3 angelfish, 2 chine algae eaters, 3 tetras, 3 neons, and one molly, all are relatively small as of now. Any ideas, now that I have told ya what a total beginner I was

Well the cycle does take alot out of a fish so it could of not been great for her.R.I.P.

Im very sad, as she actually went through alot, I named her and it was my favorite for makiing it through that, 1 week after all tests are finally normal, byby

The male could be the cause of her death. One male to one female does not work with most livebearers as the male can spend all the time harrassing the female to mate. The fact she was probably weakened by all she'd been through won't have helped either. RIP lil fish. :byebye:
Hugs,
P.
