Hello I bought a Farlowella for my 55 gallon aquarium recommended by my lfs to keep my algae under control. I tried looking up some infomation on this fish, especially interested in knowing if they're easy to keep (Hopefully my lfs didn't lie!)

I tried looking it up on the internet but it seems that everything posted on the net about these fish is either from like the 80's and really out of date or in a foreign language. :p Any information/suggestions about this fish will be greatly appreciated. :D

They are Nice peaceful fish who dont get too big when u take into account the size of their tails. They do eat Algae and u should have no Problem. goo dLuck

One more questions...I use sand as a substrate and algae is also growing on the sand. Are these fish able to clean algae off sand or only the algae growing on the glass and plants? -_-
