After 27 years of causing frazzled brains, grey hair and wrinkles....Internet Explorer retires permanently on June 15, 2022

Cannot come soon enough (and a pity Edge isn't going too)

Internet Exploder was an absolute nightmare of epic proportions and will not be missed by anyone.....

Or will it?

Explorer was always a great way to get to better search engines when the computer was new.

It's a shame with Windows 11 though - I can see some reasons for it, other than profit, but it is going to force a lot of perfectly working devices into landfill.

Nothing wrong with Internet Explorer (coming from someone who can't use a mobile phone). But as a basic web browser it was fine. Obviously there are other browsers out there with more features and more security so the partner can't find those naughty websites you visit, but for a basic web browser that came free with the operating system, it was fine.

If you want something better, use it to find Firefox, Netscape or something else.
