Fao Juwel Rekord 60/70 Owners

I'm looking at retro-fitting a Juwel Rekord 60/70 hood onto my tank but need to know the depth of the plastic trim marked 'X' as shown below. The reason being that I need it to be deep enough to hide the glass brace.

Just measured it there, its 3.5cms by 60.5 cms. You gonna cover it with pastic fablon?I did that yesterday n it looks awsome!!

Thanks for doing that, looks like it'll just about cover the brace!

Not sure about whether to cover it or not, if I can find some maple
Fablon maybe.
