Fancy Goldfish With "spot" On Head

One of my fancy goldfish that i have had for around 3 or 4 years, looks like s/he has a round lump on his/her head. i dont know how long its been there but i noticed it today and wondered if it is normal?
its the same colour as the rest of him and about -- that big.
