It's offical , I am a complete diddy, a plonker , an official memeber of the spoon family . . .

After an eternity of planning, I finally ordered a new tank, today tank arrives, the delivery dude even gives me a hand upstairs with the tank, I have burst a gut carrying it, think I have given myself a hernia. . . .
What's so daft about that I hear you say ?
Well it would seem to appear that the stairwell is to tight for the bulky cabinet
SWEET, I tried to shift it myself and there was no way that was happening, the Mrs will be in tonight and want it shifting. Only other suggestion is that it lives down stairs in the lounge, lead balloon suggestion
And this malarkey is supposed to be relaxing

Cheers, Sean

Well thats not too good.
Is there no other way of getting it up stairs?
Could you dismantle the cabinet?
Well a tank in the living room isnt that bad

If I really wanted to I could probably dismantle it , but I don't want to suggest that. I do want to suggest keeping it down in the lounge , "temporary until the shed is built" , It's a cracking bit of furniture, the tank , cabinet and hood look great, got a back to nature sliline background waiting in the wings with some silicone and got the starter and lighting all ready to be unboxed
I think it would great down in the lounge :good:
One of the te3xt messages I got from the Mrs had an air of doubt in it, I think she thinks this was my plan all along, nah, I'm not that devious or clever, just bloody daft

LOL! Sounds like an excellent mistake to make, i like it! :D Just get it all setup before she comes home then sit back and take the abuse whilst watching your new tank.

Well, at least you got it in the door - that would have been a bummer if it was stuck in the garden!

Hi, returned from work this morning a bit worse for wear.
I was starting to dismantle the cabinet, removing doors , screws etc and all I can say is that ND have done a cracking job of gluing it all together, I have tried to shift it on my own and it aint going up those bloody stairs, tight turn at the bottom, it just aint happening, needless to say the "rift" this has caused with "the frosty one", did you see what I did there ? Looks like I'll put on some Seasick Steve and sit in the doghouse

i, after much frustration I gave it a go, 5 mins later cabinet is up in room, yay, screwed doors back on. Daft part is I need to wait till after 5 to get a hand to lift the bloody tank on to the cabinet. Not even going to attempt a solo, 6' bloody heavy , broke my back hauling the cabinet up. Thinking tomorrow evening adding the background
Be nice when it's all done and the Trophs have a new area to explore . .. . :good:

When I bought my 350ltr she said "that's never going in the living room" I said "why not" she said "I don't want it there and it won't fit with the radiator in the way" next day she comes home from work, tank all set up in the living room. "What's that doing there?" I said "it fits now, I moved the radiator"

Its still there.

Morale to the story? Do it when the other halfs out.
