Fan Shrimp

I know that generally you should leave the exoskeleton in the tank when a shimp molts as it needs the nutrients, however is this the case with fan shrimp, given how they feed? I have Bamboo shrimp (a.k.a asian fan shrimp, wood shrimp etc), and was wondering whether they will eat their exoskeleton or not?
