I've been meaning to ask this for a while now, but for some reason I just never did. So, I've had my betta for almost a year now, and since I got him he has always had black eyes. But, at night, his eyes change to a very light icy blue, almost white color. In the morning, his eyes are black again. Can anyone tell my why this is happening?

Could it be the lighting? Or pupil dialysis? I dont know if the latter is possible, just throwing ideas out there

Could you get a pic in the day and at night and post them?

Fish go pale at night and darken during the day. The eyes often can be affected as well, ive seen it in my betta boy.

A dark blue and copper coloured eyes during the day, a light sparkly turquoise at night.

Okay, that makes sense. Is there a reason this happens? Just curious :)
