Hello,

I have today a 120L/31G aquarium with a external heater, a Hydor ETH 200W.
It works perfectly fine.

I will upgrade to a 300L/79G aquarium. I pretend to have two external heaters.
The aquarium will be on the living room, where the temperature can reach 17ºC/62F on the cold days. The aquarium temperature is 28ºC/82F.

Do you think I will be ok, with 2x Hydor ETH 200W ?
Or should I buy a 300W?

Thank you!

Well I'm using 2 x 300W on a 600L so don't see why not. Maybe someone with more experience with these could help a little more tho.

According to the product specification, each 300W heater should handle 300L, maxim.
I guess you are on the edge.

What is your aquarium temperature, and the room temperature on the winter days?

Thanks

Winter room temp will be 18c and tank temp will be 28c not set up yet for long period of time but been tested.

Nice. In that case I shouldn't have problems using 2x200W for 300L.

Just one more question, do you have the 2 heaters in "serie" on the incoming or outgoing hoses?

I tried it out with one on each filter.
