hello folks newbie here.....
i currently have a 300lt tank with an eheim 2227 wet/dry filter , im thinking of adding a eheim 2222 for extra filtration to which i would add my uv sterilizer , i have around £60 to spend give or take a few quid, is this a good option or are their better. whatever the choice it must be quiet aswell.............regards dave

The pro 2 range Eheims are widely considered the best by everyone whom uses them. You shouldn't get a moments trouble with it :good: You can also look at Tetratec EX1200's, but they haven't been on the market long enough to get a track record, and cost about the same as the Pro2 range

cheers , i have a deltec uv sterilizer with a 500llts/ph flow rate will the pro2 be ok to use with this

I would totally agree with you. but in this case a 2222 would fit the bill too. after all the best before the PRO2 was the PRO!

The Pro2 kicks out 500lph at the pump head without media, so more like 400lph once you have hosing and media involved. The main thing is that the flow through the UV is at or below that it is reated for to get the contact time :good:
