External Filter

I,m thinking of changing my filter from a HOB filter to an external cannister filter for ease of cleaning and to improve my filtration ,its an 90ltr tank and I have been looking at the Fluval 106,any one had any experience of these filters or are there any others I should consider?,how does this model compare to the Eheim 2213 anyone ?

I've used external sump filters and I've recently aquired a Fluval 305; both make me very happy.

Though I'm generally happy if I'm going overboard. Especially if it's something like filtration!

I've got a fluval 105 It's very good well recommended. If u wanted to look at another 1 look at a tetratec there suppose to be the king of externals.

I bought the fluval simply because my lfs had it cheap

I have two Fluvals,1 204 and 1 206.Two Eheims pro 3s,I find there is not much difference except the Ehiems have the sprayer bar set up which I think is the better return system..The 204 Fluval is over 3 years old,and still going strong...the others are less than a year.I guess it all boils down to personal preference and cost in the end,,,L
