Hi guys, Im looking to replace my internal filter and heater for an external item on my juwel rio 300.. Ive looked into the TetraEX1200, Fluval 305 aquarium power filter and Aqua vital.

any advice/pros/cons on the above filters?

anyone used the hydor inline heater stat?

Can't comment on the other filters but I have the Tetratec EX700 which I found very easy to set up and service etc, very sraight forward,(I think all the Tetratec EX models are set up pretty much the same), also have the Hydor, is it the external heater you are reffering to ? I added one and have had no problems setting it up and using, it's attached to the outlet pipe on the tetratec , it makes a bit of a click when switching on and off but at least that way you know it's doing something :good:
 
Yeah its the external heater mate :)

Go for it, you won't be dissapointed.
Apart from that it's nice having one lesspiece of hardware to clutter up the tank :good:

Both on order with a few other items, should be here tomorrow :) Will update on them once they are here and up and running!
