Hi, I am thinking of putting a exter filter into my tropical fish tank, could anyone advise me which one would be best please. It is a 96litre tank but i would drather over filter than under filter. Hope someone could help.

There's your first mistake

Most people will recommend Fluval or Eheim Just make sure whichever you choose, its powerful enough to turn over your total volume of water 2/3 times and hour

yes i agree with SJ2K, i have a 20gal and it does 200gph, see my post here for an image and some information about my filter

is a tetratec 1200 a good filter for a 96 litre tank

TetraTec are a good range but i think if you were going to get a TetraTec, a ex 700 would be best fir your tank, unless you are gunna upgrade to a larger tank in the future

my ex1200 is gr8 - however he flow is storng but can be turned down.

so i would recomend either a ex700 - full flow
or ex1200 flow turnd down a bit
