External Filter

hi my friend has offered me a ehiem external filter, the arm inside needs mending which is no big deal, it comes with everthing with it. i have a 90 litre tank with a built in filter system, i was wondering weather it was worth it, i need your advice people. another thing how hard would it be to take the built in filter out, its stuck to the glass.

I changed my internal for an external. It was stuck in with four blobs of silicone. I managed to prise it off carefully with the tank full.
It was so much better with the external!!

I've removed an internal Juwel and it's easily done with a "snap-off" type Stanley knife (blade extended).
Just slice through the blobs of silicone - but best remove 50% of water first.
