External Filter Help

I Will Be Getting A New Rio 125 Very Soon Hopefully. I have only used internal filteration before but this 1 does not come with any filter. So I now need help in what i do I Have never had a external filter before and don't no where to start looking make price etc.

Erm.. Was Thinking Community (6 Corydora, A Few Guppies & Platys)

a tetratec ex 700 will be okay for that size tank, you can get them new for £75
