I am in the process of setting up an old Juwel 125 litre tank. I didn't like the internal filter it came with when I first got it but didn't know any better then!
We want to set up it up again but want to remove the internal Juwel filter - what's the best way to get it out cleanly? We then want to use an external Rena Filstar XP1 filter as we have used the XP3's in the past so know what we are doing with them.
Only problem is how to fit one to the Juwel tank and still be able to put the lid on? There aren't any cut out bits at the back for the pipes to go. It won't be easy to cut out the plastic either.
Anyone done this before? I'm sure people have removed the Juwel filter just not sure aboit being able to fit the external.
