External Filter For A 29 Us Gallon..

Hi,

I am currently using a fluval 3 plus internal in my 29 gal but want to upgrade to external. I've been looking at eheim and fluval but i'm not sure what model to go for. I've read that over filtering is better for your tank so should I go for something that supports a much higher capicity? what model would you recommend?

Ordered an Eheim Ecco 2234 last night, found one for £62.99 which is pretty good I guess. Hopefully will be delivered tomorrow. I'm going to run it in tandem with my internal for a while before I remove it. How long do you suggest?

Hi B2k2,I have just bought an Eheim2213 for a 30 G tank.I left my Fluval3plus in for two weeks .
I removed the Fluval.


Then I made the Mistake of washing the Eheim filter a bit to well and i had 0.25 of nitrite so I put one of the sponges from the Fluval into the Eheim.No problems since then Hope this helps .
