Hi everyone my first post. I need help choosing a new external filter; I have a juwel vision 260 tank with an eheim 2213 filter and the juwel I got with the tank. I want to replace the juwel filter but can't decide which filter to get. I have narrowed it down to a second eheim 2213 or an eheim 2215 or maybe a fluval 405 I just can't decide please help.

get a second eheim 2213 and link it to your current one.

intake from tank into first 2213 out take to intake of second 2213
out take of second 2213 to tank

I've done this with an Eheim ecco 2234 and pro 2224
works a treat

Everyone seems to Love Eheim, and honestly they are the cadillac for a reason. That said, I really really like my Fluval and have never had a problem or leak from it...

I think I might go for a eheim 2213 and link them or would it be better to get a 2215 or even a 2217 to link with the 2213 for better water flow will be ordering on Monday the tetra tec one is very tempting may order the a smaller one for my 24 gal tank to see what their like.

I had a conversation with our Tetra rep a couple of weeks ago and he said
that the breif on designing thier cannisters was
"make then as good as Eheims but cheaper"
this is because Tetra are very big (sales wise) in Japan and they do not (for some reason)
like buying German products.

of all the Tetra-Tec filters I've sold
I've not had a single problem with any of them :good:

Wolf, I've just noticed you live in kent, are you local to Sevenoaks? Do you work in an aquatic shop?

Changed my mind now going for the Tetra Tec 1200 EX the £69.99 convinced me will post again with something like a review. Thanks for the input everyone.

You should also check out how much the filter media will cost as this will be the on going cost for any filter.
