As per title, i'm looking into spending a bit of time setting up my new tank to get it just how i want before stocking.

I've been looking into DIY 3d backdrops and commercially available aquarium ones then i stumbled across the exo terra terrarium ones.

Has anyone used or know if they are safe to do so?

don't just take my advice because i'm not 100% sure but i would imagine just to be on the safe side if you painted it in pond sealant it would be fine. I'm in the process of making my own background out of polystyrene and its suprising how easy it is to get a really good effect !!!

cheers

cheers for the info - according to hagens exo terra website its non-toxic but that could be just the poly not the finish.

I would have thought it would have applied as if it wasn't surely there would be a lot of sick lizards out there?

Maybe worth a coat of pond sealant anyway to be on the safe side.

It's fine, I've spoken to a few people who have used it, and I think it's the exo terra stuff we have on a tank at the lfs.

There's marina branded ones that are the same or similar too.
