Hi guys,

I posted before about one of my danios that was acting a little funny. He seems to be better, but I now have a new worry.

I introduced two more danios today - I have noticed that one of them, a zebra, is somewhat smaller than the other four and seems to stray away from the rest of the group. All the others are longfinned, and I'm not exactly sure if this guy is, but I don't think that really would affect them shoaling together.

What should I do? Should I just wait it out to see if he becomes part of the group? He seems fine other than the fact that he isn't hanging out with the other guys. Any help is appreciated. Thanks in advance!

it could just be a reaction to the change in enviroment and I'm sure in a few days all will be fine.

however fish that stay away from other fish can also point to a more seriouse problem.

Individual fish stay apart from others. Breathing is normal. They may refuse food. They may have "cloudy" or grey areas on the skin. There are no other physical signs.

Lethargy and inappetence are common symptoms of many diseases, so further investigation is essential

1) Fish may be suffering from a parasite problem.
2) There could be internal disease problems
3) Early stage of systemic bacterial infection. Isolate and observe
