Eww, worms!!

I'm cleaning out my 12'' fantail goldfish's 15 gallon tank today and what did I notice? Worms!! They range in size from 1 to 10 mm but mostly are on the small end. They are white/seethrough in colour and are everywhere!
Has any one ever dealt with these worms before or know what they are called?

Are they harmfun to humans or fish (I did stick my hands in there )?

Even though Planaria do not harm fish, they are an indicator that the aquarium has a problem. They require a food source, which means there must be excess food wastes in the tank to support them.

Thanks-I do know that there is food waste in the aquarium so that would be it.
