evostick silicone

i got a tube of evo stick industrial silicone and all the kit to start building my breeding tank, however, i want to check if the silicone i've got will be ok, or leach toxins into the water, or even rot for that matter...

any info would be helpful, thanks

I wouldn't use any silicone for a tank unless it specifically said it was suitable. Most contain anti fungal agents and other undesirables.

i've already decided against it, aquarium silicone is chaep enough to buy and its for a breeding tank so i want the best quality water possible...
