Is it switch over or something.

Yes now it dosn't last to long, but it always happens about the same time every night.

actually, it's around 9pm or so for me when it gets slow. i'm guessing it's because most members are in the uk, which is 5 hours faster than est in the usa. so when it's 9pm for me, it's 2am in the uk, which is bedtime for most uk people.

bedtime 2am yeah i wish  dont get to bed till 4am my work is mostly done in the evenings

At 10:30 UK time it's 5:30pm EST US, when a lot of us Americans get home & start checking email, etc. Then at 9PM EST, there may be a slowdown as that would be 6 pm on the west coast - about the time the West Coast US people may be getting home and getting on the net. Other than Chicago in the middle, most of the US population may be most heavily concentrated on the eastern & western sides of the US. Just a hypothesis. I doubt the forum itself is slowing down, but it's just a timing situation when users are or aren't using the internet.

Edit - I'm not quire sure what the original question was - that opening posts took longer (internet saturated with users) or that no one much was posting? In either case it's most likely a timing issue of when people are or aren't on the net.

BTW - You folks in the UK stay up till 2am?
