Hi there,

Using the great advice here we did a fishless cycle on our tank and now three weeks later we have near zero readings. The wife duly went out and purchased some mollies and guppies :*) - well a six foot tank looks mighty empty with no fish.

Those that have spotted my previous posts and questions will know we have a nice marine tank and as such I recently got another rainbow fluidzer. (always picking them up as on the marine side they are great.)

My question - sorry getting there, is would it be safe to add a fluidizer to the tropical set up now its cylcled and giving such excellent results. ?

My reason for wishing to add it is that the wife has plans on having a fairly loaded tank (well 250 odd gallons in total including sump) will allow her to have a fair few fish.

Currently the 4 foot sump tank is full of porous rock (cant remember its name right now) and also a very large bioforce 9000 pond filter unit. These are currently performing the bio load.

Adding the fluidizer if im right should enable the wife to "load" the tank furthr without me constantly having to check the levels. (obviously once it's cycled its own media.)

Overal question is - adding that much fluidzed sand (media) will it cause another major cyle to happen, thereby causing harm to the current fish.

Hopefully that all made sense ? lol.

Paul.
