Escapee! Where To Look!?

I haven'#t seen my apple snail for a few days now, which is very strange because it likes to roam my tank and it ALWAYS eats the cucumber I put in for it, but it's gone! If YOU were an apple snail that had climbed out of a tank (I foolishly left the lid off...) in a bedroom, where would you go? And, more importantly, how long would you survive?

hi, i don't know how long they can survive out of water, but have you looked under/behind the tank? if they can move out of water like normal snails, than it could probably go quite far. have you looked under the bed/sofa in the room? also, it could have climbed into the cabinet. and have you checked the filter? or it could have just died.

Well apparently one half of the mantle contains a gill, the other a lung (or at least air-breathing apparatus), so maybe a while out of water? I have looked everywhere, except for under the bed (it's a pain in the #14### to move) which is my next port of call.

If it died in the tank I'd find the shell I'm sure. I bet it's dried up somewhere actually. Hahaha, in fact my synth broke the other day, I haven't looked in there yet!
